Been using TB for many years. This is a new issue. I use templates a lot and now when I use a template for an email TB automatically places a new version of the template in the template folder. This is not what I want to have happen. No I am not opening in edit view. I click the template and select message. So what's the answer? Thanks in advance. TB version - 128.2.0esr (64-bit) on Ubuntu 24.

"click the template and select message" doesn't sound like opening a template - opening a template to create a new message would require a double click, or click and then enter key.

Please list the full and precise steps of what you are doing.

1. click on ______ 2. double click on _______

Also, does the problem reproduce in Help > Troubleshoot mode?
