When I try to migrate my old mozilla support account with my Firefox account, mozilla site says "This Firefox Account is already used in another profile".

(I didn't get the option to choose "Mozilla support site" for this, so I am choosing closest one, "Firefox") So, this is about the site support.mozilla.org. I got a message that I should migrate both accounts (old mozilla account with firefox account). I did what was written in the help file, namely logging in with my old account first and then following the links. I did that but after signing in with my Firefox account (from within the old account), I get red message "This Firefox Account is already used in another profile". Can't imagine which one that is.

Hi, it's possible that another Profile has been created at some time, either by you or unintentionally by Firefox, please see Recover user data missing after Firefox update

For further ref: Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data

And: Recovering important data from an old profile

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please help other users by marking the best reply as Solved. Thank you!

Maybe check the connected devices on the Firefox Account settings page.

I checked. Only apps (Pocket and Notes) are using it.

Hi, OK, I have 4 profiles apparently. One for non developer, daily use Firefox (the one I try to migrate) and three developer accounts. (I'm an web extension developer, among others) I'm not sure why I have 3 developer accounts, but it's possible one of the developer tools from webextensions create some extra for testing. I checked the folders and they all were modified the last month; so I guess they are not to be messed with? I don't want to lose my developer data, nor integrate it with my non-developer account. Why would they interfere in the first place? And how do I solve this without deleting my developer profiles? Thank you.

Just wondering if you are able to migrate your account whilst using any of your Profiles - you might need to use the one that was originally connected to your account to complete the migration, then once done, maybe all the Profiles will work with the new Firefox account. There is a thread on the Contributors' forum about the migration https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/713942?last=77719

Yes, I've read that and I díd use the original one. (The other one didn't even give the option to migrate.) I don't even have a clue what the passwords would be for the developer ones, since I never logged in with it to anything.
