Firefox is running in background and is referencing Celebrity trends and soaking up heaps of memory. What happening - you have a virus? Am using latest versio
I just reinstalled the latest Firefox and find it running in the background (as revealed by the Task Manager) chewing up memory and CPU and the task seems to be related to Celebrity Trends. W the F? I am going to dump Firefox for now. Hope you can fix it.

HI, that would not be us but was activated by your install. You do not give enough detail is Firefox running, is it shut down with a tab in Task Manager. You had a option when made this to provide information and that would have been helpful.
Suggest you do a malware scan.. Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller (for more info, see this alternate TDSSKiller download page)
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista if you don't already have one. Windows 8/10 have antivirus protection built-in.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
