I left my computer running for a few days straight, kept tabs open and had only one in the end. Task manager showed four firefox processes running and I wanted to get into a game so I eliminated them all. Please note that my computer is win 7 64 bit, anyways after trying to re open firefox I get an error message every time even after refreshing and reinstalling, no pages will load. The error message looks like "The instruction at 0x3f7e9352 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program" So it's broken now what can I do to fix this?

You should not shut down Firefox from the Task Manager unless there is a problem.

More than one process is normal for the current Firefox. http://www.ghacks.net/2016/07/22/multi-process-firefox/

Let’s do a full clean re-install;

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)

Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux

If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Do Not remove the profiles folder.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.
