From Firefox 53 planned for April 2017, Windows XP/Vista/Server 2008 are no longer supported. These users should migrate to ESR 52 once available (planned for March 2017).

Firefox 54 does not list support for Windows Server 2008. However, Windows Server 2008 R2 is built on Windows NT 6.1(just like Windows 7).

So architecturally it supports Windows 2008, but it's not guaranteed support since it's not listed?
