How can I fix Thunderbird sending the facebook logo instead of my inline images when I re-send messages or reply?

Recently I am encountering the rather annoying bug of thunderbird replacing in-line images that I sent with the facebook logo. The following cases did occur (so far): 1. Me using the inline image of an old message: copying inline image from an old message to a new one -> sending it -> FB logo instead of "old"-image 2. Me responding to a response to my own e-mail: sending an e-mail with in-line display of a picture (linked to a website) -> getting an answer to that message (in both cases the image is correctly displayed) -> responding to the message -> FB logo instead of weblink In the source code of the latter e-mail the web-link to the image is still contained (and correct). In both cases it appears as if TB links to the same file. The content ID is different each time, while the image-code (seen below) is identical.

I would really appreaciate a fix for this. If there is one thing that I don't want to promote it is FB. That aside the logo is stretched to the original image size, which looks beyond silly, if you receice a 2000x2000 logo. I will be happy with any solution be it eliminating the original image source or changing thunderbirds about:config.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Apparently twitter joined in as well (see image). I don't know where this is heading, but I don't really like this development.
