I have the latest version of thunderbird however when users send me a meeting in Outlook it comes through as a garbled text message to which I cannot accept. How do I go about accepting this invite so that it send it back to the user and also places it in my diary of my PC?

install lightning. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/lightning/ Once you have a calendar. calendaring functions will work.
