How do I get Firefox to quit trying to download (with every launch) an application with a trojan horse (according to McAffee)??
It's a font application, fontforge_freely.exe.

You have not said you tried this, <Control> J (Mac: <Command> J) to open the download window. Right click that file and select Cancel.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Thank you! I figured it would be simple, but I didn't think to right click on the file in the download list. It was showing as failed, but I get it, now!
Thanks, again!
Glad to help. As to the mal-ware scanners, you should use most or all of them. Run scans once in a while, or if you think something is wrong.
