When using message filters "Run Now" is often greyed out after running a filter and remains greyed out after the filter has completed filtering. (Hung up?) This does not happen if the filter does not find any matching messages. Clicking on another filter and then returning to the first one returns the "Run Now" button to active (not greyed out). Not sure, but the problem might be associated with filters that copy a message file to a Local folder, or delete messages, or move messages to Trash, or all three. I'm stumped. The problem started recently and I'm not aware of any changes I made to Thunderbird.

I recently created a Google Workspace account. There, I have a user profile with a custom email address. I've set up the new account in Thunderbird, and it is working as expected. If I send a message from my "external" account to the workspace account, it arrives, and I'm able to reply back.

One feature of Google Workspace is what they call "alternate email" addresses. They sort of work as an alias for the native address. I have created one such alternate. If I send a message from my external account to the alias, it arrives correctly in the workspace account. However, when I reply from the workspace account, it does not go back to the originating address, but instead it is addressed back to the alias. If I repeat the experiment from the Gmail web interface, it replies to the correct address.

I've downloaded all the headers, and the Return-Path tag is correct. I can provide the full header if needed.

It feels like there is an invisible forwarding action to get from the alias to the workspace account, and that the reply action is incorrectly finding the interim alias. But that doesn't really seem to be what I see in the headers - although I'm probably not the most expert reader of those.

And it isn't necessarily a Thunderbird issue. I can see that there could be something going on with Google. But this is a good place to start...  :-)

I downloaded Thunderbird and am still getting Outlook emails in the T-bird app? I feel like I'm missing something or doing something wrong. Does this mean I cannot cancel my MS Office 365? We have bought a new computer from our tech guy before. This time, all was fine except for the Thunderbid calendar. The 20 GB of email files are all there and email still works. Only the calendar is blank. Our guy admits he dislikes Mozilla and rarely deals with it. Is there any way we can find the contents of the calendar? The old computer is still here in our house, but we only have one monitor. I had birthdays, lots of birthdays setup as repeating events. I hate to lose that.

This is odd as we didn't lose anything the last time we bought a new computer from same guy. We already were running Windows 11, so that is not the issue.

I used to get REMINDERS for all events/tasks until about some months ago. But now I don't get the reminders for most events/tasks. rearly I do get reminders randomly and ocasionally. I have been using TB (Thunderbird) for many years without any problems. I update TB religeously as updates become available. Please advise the fix. Thanks in advance! Anil Deshpande

Program does not check Pop Mail accounts on startup. Only checking after triggering with button or shift+f5 Timely check is succesfull (1min,10min etc.)

I got 6 accounts and -everyone is checked to include on startup -added/checked config file options;added new lines -tried safe mode etc. -delete json file

None of the above worked.

Any more suggestions?

I have Thunderbird on Windows 11. I have been using Local folders for a long time without any problems. I now find that if I try to delete subfolders in Local folders, they reappear as if they had not been deleted. This applies to any mails I have received since 28th January 2026. Could this be associated with a windows update?

After tried many suggested steps to trouble shooting the problems, it still can't download Comcast emails. It keeps pop up "enter password" or "password failed" again and again. But I can send emails. I can't upload the trouble shooting information file to send. Thanks

I can't access to my personal Google account from Thunderbird.

Thunderbird configuration is OK. Cookies authorised.

e-mail account connection process goes this way: - I enter name and e-mail address - I confirm standard configuration found in Thunderbird's FAI database. - Google asks me to confirm that I authorise Thunderbird to share mail, contacts and agenda informations (I was asked my Google pwd only the first time I tried the process). - I confirm my consent - Back to Thunderbirds account configuration window, with "authentication error".

Similar failure when I try to only connect to the contact list or to my calendars (which is my initial will), also from a scholar Google account.

No change after update from 149 .0.2 to 150.0

I have been using TB to access my Office365 account using the TB Oauth protocol, however, it got to be painfully slow when trying to download messages. I had set up rules and folders that worked, albeit slow.

To try to alleviate the slowness I started a new profile to my Office365 account again using Thunderbird's OAuth protocol. It's lightning fast! But it didn't bring down any of my Office365 folders that exist up on the Office365 servers. (see 2nd TB Install screen print below) It had brought down all the folders and previous e-mails in the 1st installation. (see 1st TB Install Redacted. Screenprint below)

I don't know why this might happen, does anyone have any ideas? Is there a workaround or could I be doing something wrong?

When I try to create a calendar event.. Error Message: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp-mail.outlook.com timed out. Try again.

Hello dear support team Some e-mails in the Inbox are of a huge size, like 32 MB and more, even without attachment. I already used repair function, but it stays the same. In Outlook, the same email is of normal size (80 kb). So, it is not the e-mail provider or the database at the provider. I have had this situation throughout several updates, so it is not specific to a certain update. The ones that have an attachment and the same problem (attachments of less than 1GB but show 42 GB) cannot be moved. The error dialog says: to big to move. Also, the attachments cannot be removed as they show 0 kb and the attachments name is crossed out. This is not true for all mails, but some have this problem. What do you recommend?

I receive emails from one source that's supposed to have a banner image at the top. In Thunderbird it shows the broken image icon and the image as an attachment. But in RoundCube it shows as expected.

The image part of the email shows: content-id: <piXdKIOofB>

I'm guessing that those angle brackets around `content-id` are breaking the display, such that it's calling that a mis-match.

When I drag an email from the inbox to a subfolder for that account it disappears from the inbox and doesn't reappear in the destination folder. Started fairly recently. Search can't locate it. Moving using the menus also doesn't work most of the time.

I have always used the default option to block remote content in emails, and I always see the yellow box. However, I happen to have admin access to a server that sends me certain emails, and it has logged when I opened emails from there.

started getting errors 2 hours ago. TbSynch into hotmail.com worked fine for years. On 140.9.0 esr.

Deleted tbsync account, created new app password, and then used Autodiscovery. No go. Used every possible combination offered by tbsync. Kept asking for another password. Dead in water. Filed a debug report. Also use every app password for years.
