Updated web browsing. Generally, tabs don't have a clearly defined visible outline. Bookmarks, too much space between rows, so e.g. less bookmarks are visible - have to scroll down to find. Make firefox easier to use, not harder. Need to have defined contrast on the page for each process or thing that you're doing e.g. buttons, lines, whatrever should have a clear contrast so you can see quickly. Time should be spent doing what it is you're doing, not spent trying to see firefox properly etc.

Can't restore previous session tabs after Firefox crash using Firefox 95 on Mac

I have consulted https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-restore-my-tabs-last-time. That article says:

-Click on the menu button [three lines at the upper right] to open the menu panel. -Click History. -Click Recently Closed Tabs.

I am using Firefox 95.0.2 for Mac (iOS 10.15.7). There is no "Recently Closed Tabs" option to click after clicking on History per the above instruction. I have saved various files from the time of the crash, in particular "previous.jsonlz4" (a 20.6 MB file, as I had a very large number of tabs open). Is there any way to use this or some other file to restore my old tabs?

/moved thread from Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) to Firefox (desktop) section as you have macOS.

So i just started having issues where my pc is starting to hot and won't boot up fully. I am working on that but i can hook up the ssd i have in that computer to another work computer that i have but it does not have all of my work stuff since i have been working from home due to covid. Is it possible to load up the session i had on my original ssd that is now currently going to be setup as an external drive for my work computer until i can fix my home pc? I ask because i had alot of tabs open with work related stuff that i had not bookmarked at the time so i really need to restore that session so i can recover that work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Win 10. Using FF 96.0. My entire tab row shifts back and forth very rapidly. This has been happening continuously for the past several versions of FF. Condition is also worsens somewhat when I move the mouse. Occasionally, closing a particular tab stops this action but I cannot determine which type of tab does this. This is driving me crazy. Please HELP!! (Is there some way I can send a video from my iphone?)

Hello. My pinned tabs keep disappearing - I now understand what is causing this, but I'm wondering if there is a workaround? I'd really like for my pinned tabs to show on any/every new Firefox window.

ISSUE: If I have more than one Firefox window open, and at some point during the day I close them in the wrong order, I lose all of my pinned tabs, permanently.

As an aside ... just in case the devs are reading: this seems like a very bizarre choice for default behaviour; why make it so incredibly easy for a user to unwittingly lose potentially dozens of pinned links? It's also not very obvious why it happens and have seen numerous people struggling with this issue. However, I appreciate that's how it is, so I'm simply hoping there's a solution :)

Before anyone says: 'just use tabs instead', I normally do, however, for reasons I won't go into (related to a very popular 3rd party plugin) some things open in a new window by default - there is no option to open them in a new tab, so I regularly end up with more than one Firefox window, and it would be nice to know that one false move doesn't decimate all the pinned tabs I've made.

I'm looking for a way to preview a website in a simplified popup window when clicking on a link.

So ideally when clicking a link while pressing some shortcut (CTLR + .... ), I don't want to open a new Tab or a full New Window, but some popup without address bar / tabs / ...

I found this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1292666 that might offer what I need. But I can't find the browser.ssb.enabled configuration they mention there in my about:config

I always have automatic updates enabled, using latest Firefox version. I have enabled the options 'Open Previous Windows and tabs' or in earlier versions it was 'restore previous sessions' on my system windows 10 pro from past 2 years.

I have lost about 15+ precious tabs in firefox (1 week of my research work). Even in history it is not showing those tabs.

I was doing my research work / thesis, gone through about 500+ webpages / articles and selected the best, and aligned the tabs in sequence. Today i have opened the 'Private Window' doing some surfing, After few minutes I closed my 'Firefox window of research' as that was using 'too much' amount of ram. After 15 minutes i have closed the 'Private Window' also.

When i opened firefox again all my tabs of Research Windows (1 week of my work) are gone, not even in history.

I must be using Google Chrome for that because chrome does not have any issues with 'Restoring Sessions' with 'Incognito Window'.

Two months ago, I updated to Windows 11. Two days ago, there was an update for Windows. Now my Firefox will not open the tabs. Is there some setting I need to change someplace? Also when I use the Google search it will not search for anything as well. When I opened MS Edge, sometimes I can get my tabs to open. When I close down the next time I open Firefox it will not open my saved Tabs

FireFox v.96 won't save previous session

My current browser (version in header), has stopped saving previous session. I followed the advise from FredMcD on this page https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1345654, and the browser is still not saving tabs. From Fred's post, I couldn't find any "sessionstore.jsoniz4" files in the browser folder. I did find the "sessionstore-backup" folder and deleted it. I restarted Firefox, opened a folder and then stopped Firefox and restarted it again, and I only went to the Firefox Home page. The "restore session" box is selected.

What else should I try??
