When I copy a few lines in an email I am composing, I try to drag the selected part up to the subject line but it does not copy. How can I make it do that?

This happens on att email online. However it works correctly in Thunderbird.

Hi wh,

This works for me. I highlighted a field without a script in it I was typing. I held the mouse then dragged the selected text to another open text field. Then I let go of the mouse and it worked.

If this is not the case for you, please provide an example if it also does the same in Safe Mode. Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox

I hope this helps!
