you finally did it..this Firefox updater.exe uses so much resources most of the time going back to ie
well, that sentence should have been enough. certainly I am not the only one that has complained about firefox updater.exe using up so many resources a lot of the time that my what used to be fast computer is slow during the running of that program.
I cannot even find any blogs on the subject on your site with people discussing it so I assume it is being "avoided"

If you do not like the actions of the automatic updater, you can disable it. In the about:config window, you can use these settings:
- app.update.auto - toggle to false
- app.update.enabled - toggle to false
Do you really mean the updater or do you mean that the Firefox program uses more resources after you updated to Firefox 10.0.2?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
