firefox has began to be unimaginably SLOW .. WHY ???

I have Firefox 3.6 on notebook.

It was working really fine for long time... i really like functions, plugins...

but... suddenly it begin to be really SLOW.. it is still FREEZING. !!

I cannot repair it .. ! I tried tu put away as much plugins as possible, but it is still freezing... 

   I now use Google Chrome, because he does not have such problem..

Right now, we're investigating if this has anything to do with recent Windows updates as some people have reported that a series of updates at the end of the year "caused" this problem. In the meantime, can you try running Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox where your extensions are disabled. It's possible that one of those updated and is causing the slowness.
