I cannot stop session restore it keeps opening ups sites and docs I want closed
Each time I open Firefox I get 7 old tabs opening. 5 of them are docs on websites for products and one is my yahoo sign in page and the other is the Google search page. I can close them but they always come back.

You can check if those pages aren't set as multiple home pages.

If it is a problem with session restore then delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

Make sure that Firefox closes properly.

I got same issue too and guaring if you would have windows 7 you'd see those close tab still showing there.
