Just one site - fsheff.com - doesn't show images in Firefox; they appear in The Other Browser. The site also leaves a little blue hummingbird as favicon.ico. I don't know if this was true before migrating to Win7, but it doesn't seem so.

Add'l problem just noted: The address bar does not show the displayed page name once a page other than the "http://fsheff.com/" is selected on that site. "http://fsheff.com/" sits there as long as you are on that site.

Weird.

The other pages are loaded in a (bottom) frame, so the main page doesn't change and is still http://fsheff.com/ if you click a link.

"Image permissions" had the site's host blocked. Can't imagine how that happened. I had never looked in the "Exceptions" file, and there it was!

Thank you very much.

Cheers!

You're welcome.

It is possible that you clicked "Block Images" in the right click context menu while trying to save an image.
