Is my Firefox backup active now, and current? Last backup seems to be over 3 months ago?

What do you mean by back active? Firefox will automatically backup your bookmarks:

menu - bookmarks - manage bookmarks - import and backup

For profile and other data, you need backup manually: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
