As described, firefox is entirely not working for any website. This happened after my computer crashed (hardware problem) and I restarted twice, but could be related to a firefox update that was waiting for me to restart.

Windows. My system crashed, and I booted up, Firefox wasn't working, and rebooted, as in hit the "restart" button. I found that entering "troubleshooting mode" worked. When I next rebooted my system, Firefox was working again, and the adblocker plus page came up, perhaps that app was causing the error?

Hi

Do you mean restart FF or the OS ?

You don't say which OS and if Windows did you really restart, not power off or Shut Down and then power on?
