I went to view a password and a dialog box pop up saying that I need to sign in to my Windows Login Credentials which apparently I do not know as it will not let me in. Tried my Microsoft office and also locked out. Will let me change my master Mozilla Log In and auto fill but can not view. How can I disable this

moheny2, this might be due to the setting "Require device sign in to fill and manage passwords" being enabled. If you disable this then hopefully things will work how they used to.

See this article for more information, especially the section "Enable or disable password authentication": https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-password-authentification-prompt

The dialog box in setting will not uncheck unless I enter the device password. The screen shot in article show "Forgot Password" option which I am not getting as an option.

Not sure why you do not need to enter device password before it will activate option, but somehow it did.

If I uninstall Fire Fox and reload it, and then re-sync it, will this get around this issue?

moheny2, you suggest that you might have forgotten your password, but unless if you never reboot or turn your computer off, then presumably you must be entering something at Windows start-up? Such as a PIN or full password, or fingerprint?

For example, if you normally log in to your computer with a PIN, have you tried entering that into this new Firefox dialogue box, even if you have to click 'more choices' to find a suitable place?

Unfortunately I do not have anything in my records that have worked. Checked with my service shop and they do not have any record of it either.

Just thought of trying my screen password, and that worked.

Thanks for the replies
