Hey everyone,

I have been having this weird issue with Firefox lately every time I close the browser and open it again, I get logged out of all my websites. I’ve already checked the settings under “Privacy & Security,” and I do have “Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed” turned off, so that’s not the problem. It’s super annoying because I use a few tools daily, including my site https://calculadoridadegestacional.com.br/ and I have to log in again every single time. I’m on Windows 11, using Firefox version 131.0.1 (64-bit). Any idea what could be causing this? Cache? Profile issue? Would appreciate some help..

Let's start with how you stay signed in. This is enabled by Firefox sending the site its cookies with each request. So the most common reason the site would force you to sign in again is that Firefox didn't send the site back its cookies. Do you know whether your Firefox is set to clear cookies when it closes? This is at:

Settings page > Privacy & Security panel > Cookies and site data section > "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed"

or

Settings page > Privacy & Security panel > History section > and either:

  • Firefox will: Use custom settings for history + "Clear history when Firefox closes" (you can use the Settings button to the right to check whether cookies are set to be cleared)
  • Firefox will: Never remember history -or- Firefox will: Use custom settings for history + "Always use private browsing mode"

If Firefox isn't set to clear cookies, it could be an add-on or an external private tool.
