Hi, so my problem is I need to keep using the keyboard for surfing the net on my Windows PC, because of pain issues with using the mouse too often. The most difficult part is that Firefox comes with a lot of these top-most balloons with feature suggestions like "did you know you can use an AI bar now..." etc.

Btw, I don't mean any popups from websites. Mozilla just shows the feature info balloons (or tool tips?) when you are on a website, but it's never the website that bothers me.

There is no way to hide these mozilla popups using the keyboard except opening a new tab with Ctrl+T.

So... is there anything to get rid off all feature-news or mozilla-suggesions etc?

Thank you!

Thanks for explaining! Those “balloon” messages are called feature recommendations or Firefox tips. They aren’t from the website, but from Firefox itself.

You can turn them off like this:

Press Alt to open the top menu, then use arrow keys to go to Tools → Settings.

In Settings, press Tab until you reach the General section.

Find the option “Recommend features as you browse” and “Recommend extensions as you browse”, and uncheck them.

Also scroll down to Browsing and uncheck “Show Firefox suggest and tips” (wording may vary).

After that, those balloons should stop appearing, and you won’t need to dismiss them with the keyboard anymore.

Hope this helps!!
