Sounds like malware and a computer shop to verify the issue.

Are these small popups on bottom right corner of Firefox windows?. If so then these may just be web push notifications from sites you have allowed to send you notifications. Instead of useful information some may send you junk, spam, fake virus/trojan alerts, fake antivirus (like McAfee) alerts etc. You can revoke these sites from sending you notifications.

However if this is a larger popup more in middle of Firefox window then see https://www.mcafee.com/support/s/article/000001899?language=en_US

I PRESSED https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox - and followed instructions - matter NOT resolved. Is this only apply to users in the USA? Thanks, Gordon
