pin extension to toolbar

I have installed Ublock Origin.

What I need help with is pinning the extension icon to the icon toolbar. This is important with Ublock Origin because it lets you quickly tell the extension to stop blocking the current domain.

Thank you!

Are you talking OS toolbar or which one?

Mozilla has removed the option to pin extensions to the toolbar. You can only uncheck "Pin to Toolbar" for existing icons on the toolbar to remove them from the toolbar. IOW, unpinning an extension from the toolbar still is an option, but pinning isn't, and it appears Mozilla has even moved to blocking the workaround that involved some serious Windows registry editing and Firefox About:.... pages editing.

It is very frustrating, but it appears that this was an intentional update and that you will no longer be able to add extensions to the toolbar in Firefox going forward.
