Hi, I can't use Firefox because a captcha won't complete loading. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache and disabled add ons. I am using a vpn (PIA). Chrome and Edge both load and operate OK. Thanks in advance.

Captchas are an ongoing issue. Firefox seems to have a LOT more captchas than other browsers. Is there a problem between Mozilla and Google?

Only Firefox with a Windows user agent seems to be affected by this issue with reCAPTCHA not working. It works for me with a MAC user agent and with a Linux user agent. You can use a User-Agent Switcher extension and set the user agent to Chrome or Edge on Windows 11.

This has been reported to Google, so wait until Google fixes this and then undo this temporary fix.

More captchas indicates your browser is harder to track which is good from a privacy perspective.

The reputation of your VPN also matters, Firefox VPN may give better results.

Does it still happen with default settings in a new browser profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile. Make sure you stay signed out of your sync account when testing.

Thanks for replying @zeroknight. After clearing cache etc, Firefox worked for a short while, until the first new captcha, then as above.

I downloaded and tried developer edition, but it has the same issue and will not load past the captcha. regards, Brenton

From this closed bug it looks that Google has fixed this issue, so you can test this by disabling the extension.
