I subscribe to a website called flat.io. It's a site where I can enter music notation and get playback through emulated instruments.

I want to connect my Yamaha MX88 music keyboard directly to flat.io in order to have the site software record my music keyboard keystrokes instead of entering music notes by hand. flat.io tells that you are compatible, but I need to change settings to allow midi.

I hope you can help me. Thanks, Jim Whited

It should work by default. Make sure the following preferences are set to true in about:config:

  • dom.webmidi.enabled
  • dom.security.featurePolicy.header.enabled
  • dom.security.featurePolicy.experimental.enabled

Perhaps you also have to allow that website to use MIDI in the site permissions panel.

You can test it here: https://versioduo.com/webmidi-test/
