MacOS Sequoia 15.7.7; Firefox 141.0.2

The "one sentence" in the heading states the problem. I am unable to use Firefox. Using Safari to make this post.

Firefox loads. It opens windows (I had fourteen open when I last used it successfully; I have many, many tabs). Then it removes each window from the screen. Firefox is in the Menu bar, but no windows are displayed. The windows still show in the list when selecting Window in the menu bar. Selecting a window in that list has no visible effect. File>New Window opens a new window, which works as expected. With one new window open, File>New Window opens a second.

Typing a few characters in the address bar opens a dropdown with a list of tabs, each with the affordance, Switch to Tab. Clicking on one takes down the list but does not open a window.

I would like, for a start, instructions on how to use Firefox starting afresh with no windows. First: having set aside the data that causes this problem. I suppose that might be simply a new profile. But would like instructions from a person interested in pursuing the problem with me while I continue with the rest of my life.

I'm willing to delete some data from the failing profile, is there is reason to do that, but would like to preserve at least a list of the URLs of the tabs of the windows. Or to learn how to see those in the profile data.

I see four profiles:

last night when i closed the system down, i had 5 spacial tabs with names, and apx 50 other tabs open, come to start the system this morning.. all gone.. nothing.. just a new firefox.. all my history.. gone... this is not good, as the 5 spacial tabs that i had where from seriten sits that need to be their,and now.. just gone.. the lot... and all the setting are correct..

I had a catastrophic failure of my desktop computer. They were unable to recover over half my files. My bookmarks in Firefox had links to several critical business pages and I really need to get them back however I have been unable to access them or recover them. Is there any way for these to be recovered if the backup wasn't on? I know its a long shot but I have to ask.

I had issues with my phone and had to do a full factory reset. I have since logged back into firefox but I want go be able to recover all of the tabs I had open and all of the collections I had saved. Is that possible?

I am at a complete loss on this. A recent firefox update has shifted all my site logins and passwords elsewhere in mystery and impossible to recover nor find them. I tried "Restore bookmarks, passwords and data from an old Firefox profile" but the profile is simply not there and the instructions completely haywire. I have nothing on the profile page. What have you lot done to make this completely unusable for the small person ? I thought I was computer savvy but now firefox is making things unnecessarily invisible and over-complex.

Running windows 10. I installed the newest vewrsion of Firefox, and now I can see or find bookmarks anywhere. I tried the tutorial but I dont see anywhere in my computer where a list of bookmarks are.

I just updated to the latest version of Mozilla FireFox and my bookmarks dissappeard.

All are gone, I wonder how I can get them back?

For the SECOND time, I have lost all my bookmarks and passwords after a Firefox update. Why does this keep happening? How do I get my bookmarks and passwords back? Why is it that past updates didn't destroy my bookmarks and passwords, but the last two did it?

After the last update - all my 12 years of data is gone? No bookmarks or anything? No warning to do a backup? That's ridiculous guys. The only option you provided me with is 32 character recovery key I set up in 2022? Well I dont have it. Can't recover it. And if you don't intend to assist in some way - it's Game Over Firefox for me!

I just made your suggested "reorganisation" of the Firefox Browser with the result that all my hard collation of all my bookmarks, website and passwords are presently gone!!! I can only hope that you have a possibility to recover my datas.

Please advise your instruction to recover my websites, bookmarks etc.

I lost all of my bookmarks and saved passwords with the latest update. How can I revert back to my old version so I can at least save them to a file to be imported?
