Since I first downloaded this browser on this computer it repeatedly guesses pornographic urls dispute there being no pornographic history (as well as i clear any history daily) and no pornographic bookmarks. Apparently Mozilla really takes the song "the internet is for porn". I get autoing to google or yahoo or tumblr but not porn. How can I stop this from happening. I would like bookmarks remain but not porn....

Well I think I found it a solution. Completely deleting the profile. Clearing the browser history did nothing but that so far as eliminated the weird autocorrects. Might have to have a conversation with people who barrow my computer though I will say its terrible that despite clearing everything these things still occur. I would like to know how to turn this off still.

Did you import stuff from other browsers? You can try reinstalling firefox.

You can check the connection settings.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":
