Firefox won't let me "open" any attachments from my emails. It only "scans" and does not provide me with an option to open the file. It works with Explorer.

I can't open any attachments in my email using Firefox. However, when I pull up my email with Internet Explorer, the option to open files is available and works. I have used Firefox for years and it has worked, but the last couple of days, it has not worked. How can I fix this?

Yahoo! mail? There are a variety of suggestions but not yet a confirmed solution in this thread: Firefox suddently stopped downloading email attachments.
