Firefox won't establish a connection. Please help
Hello, My Mozilla Firefox has worked for ages and all of a sudden when my father tried to open it, it came up with a message saying: 'Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.ebay.com.au. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.'
I have checked all the settings and everything looks right, my internet is connected fine, other apps using the internet works fine, I have checked the fire wall and I have tried to troubleshoot problems. Nothing seems to be working it just keeps saying the same thing. I don't know what else to do, can someone please help me? I need to get it working before tomorrow because my father uses it and he knows how to use it and where everything is. Please, please help. Thank-you heaps! Zoe

hello, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please try to remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version again: Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox
Hello, I tried to update it to the newer version (install the newest one) but every time I tried a message came up saying that: 'Your download was interrupted. Please click the OK button to continue' The other suggestion didn't make a difference either, I tried it and it did work but when I open Safari it still says the same message. What else could I try? Thank-you Zoe
It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

It still won't work, i'm using a windows computer, I rang the store where we had bought the computer from and they said it might have something to do with updating it to but according to the computer Safari is the latest so they suggested that maybe that was the problem and that I had to update the computer but I can't update the computer because we have security cameras connected to it and they need the windows 7 to work...
Hello any luck if you boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) ?
(If works in Windows Safe mode then probably you have problem with other software, like security software or maybe a system driver, that is running on your computer).
thank you
When mozilla firefox opens all the time it asks us if we wan't to open it in 'Windows Safe Mode' or you can choose to cancel and it won't let you open it so it already runs in Safe Mode. But it still doesn't work.
