Firefox > Tools > Options > SYNC

  • Enter your Email-id/Username and Password with Recovery Key to SYNC to your local system

Sorry, Sync isn't intended to be a backup service or a "cloud storage" system for one PC. It's intended for synchronizing Firefox data, settings, and prefs across multiple devices.

If you don't have your Sync Key / Recovery Key, you won't be able to connect to Sync and recover your data. That "key" is used to encrypt your data and without the correct "Key" your data is useless.

If or when you use Sync to Change Recovery Key your data is automatically wiped from the Sync server, and you can then upload your data all over again to continue to use that Sync account.
