Where is my profile folder?
Just reinstalled mac os x but forgot to backup the profiles folder so lost all my bookmarks. Reason I re-installed Mac OS X was for a new HDD, so I've got the old one (as it was) in a USB enclosure.
Was under the impression that the folder should be in Library/Application Support/Mozilla Firefox/profiles but there's no profiles folder, just an extensions folder.
Where else could it be? Where was firefox storing my info if not there?

Try going to Help, Troubleshooting Information and then click Show Folder. Look for this on your USB enclosure.
Doesn't exist there unfortunately. It's in Application Support/Firefox/profiles now but the same folder doesn't exist on my old hard drive.
Profiles are normally stored at ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/ but another location to check is ~/Library/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/
If it's installed one user, the profile will be at (root)\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
It's not in the library folder (as above) and unfortunately no roaming folder either, although not sure whether you've got that path entirely correct. I've never seen an appdata folder directly in the username folder.
Try searching for a file named places.sqlite - that file will be located in the profile folder. Before searching make sure that you have set the computer to show hidden files and folders.
Which Mac OS version did you use with the old hard drive?
Was anything backed up in the time machine?
