Some how I keep opening new windows just by clicking on a tab. I don't have enough control or feeling to tell what I might be doing. I assume it's some mouse feature or shortcut. It just started happening in version 10 I think. Anyone know of an addon or setting to turn off mouse shortcuts?

Firefox 3.5 versions and later have a feature called tear-off tabs.

You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.
So you may be triggering that feature by dragging the tab slightly down while clicking the tab.
You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.
