Is Firefox compatible with Win 7 (64 bit)?

I have Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, with Firefox 10.0.1. When I click on a photo or its arrow to advance to the next (in news) nothing happens. In Facebook, when I click on a thumbnail, a new window opens, but the photo is blank (missing). Neither of these things happen in Internet Explorer.

I registered with Firefox and went through their list of possible fixes. I found that an add-on I had installed was causing the problem. Lesson learned: Check to make sure everything is running smoothly after installing an add-on and never install more than one at a time. Thanks for responding!

Hi ceejaytee,

You should take a look at this:

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html

You might also want to take a look at Waterfox which is a 64bit optimized fork of Firefox.

http://waterfoxproj.sourceforge.net/

Your issues sound like they aren't really OS related though. I would suggest starting Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down shift while it starts to see if it as an extension or theme issue.

Hopefully this helps!
