Ctrl-K to go to start page doesn't work anymore

Hitting Ctrl-K anytime in Firefox always used to bring www.google.com. I updated to the new FF 8.0, and now Ctrl-K does nothing at all. Disabling add-ons didn't do anything.

Ctrl+K brings the focus to the search when the Navigation Toolbar with the search bar on it is on display. If the search bar is hidden then the Google site with a search bar should open.

Is there a search engine selected if you make the Navigation Toolbar visible?

  • Firefox > Options
  • View > Toolbars

Thanks for your help. I moved my search bar to the bookmarks toolbar (since I don't use neither). So I just removed the search bar from all the toolbars all together. Thanks!
