i'm trying to install...the icon on my desktop is not the regular Firefox icon (the round globe) but a rectangular icon which does nothing when placed in the Application folder
Am not sure what i'm doing wrong. The icon says Firefox under it but it looks more like an external hard drive icon so i know it's not the Firefox icon that goes in my Application folder.

Make sure that Firefox gets installed properly.
Open the DMG file and drag the Firefox program to the application folder on your hard drive.
You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the disk image, but drag it out of the DMG folder instead.
