After hitting full screen, "Firefox" at top left of screen no longer appears. Pressing 'ALT' does not make 'file' 'edit' 'view' etc. appear. OS is Win. XP

My OS is Windows XP. I recently downloaded the most recent version of Firefox because 'ALT' would no longer display 'file', 'edit' 'view' etc. The new version displayed 'firefox' in upper left of screen and 'file' 'edit' etc. until one day, while in Firefox, I hit full screen one time. After that, the 'Firefox' box in the upper left corner does not appear and 'ALT' does not make 'file', edit' etc. appear. How to I get the 'firefox' box and 'file', edit' etc, to display? Shutting down over night and restarting in the morning did not help.

Try moving cursor up to the very top of the screen when if full screen, but it shouldn't be a problem to get out and back into full screen mode by toggling F11 on/off or in your case off/on.

You can make Firefox 6.0.2 look like Firefox 3.6.*, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 thru 8.0, look like 3.6). Whether or not you make changes, you should be aware of what has changed and what you have to do to use changed or missing features.

There is a lot more beyond those first 10 steps listed, if you want to make Firefox more functional.
