Foxfire 6.0 install has a problem

Yesterday I downloaded ff 6.0 and clean installed it on a new Windows 7 64-bit system. The install appeared to complete correctly however there was no entry in the "All Programs" menu and the desktop icon was missing.

Explorer found the executable in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". I was able to run it from there and brief testing indicate that all was ok.

Have there been other reports of this problem?

FYI, I had the same problem with the latest Thunderbird. (Just FYI; I know this is not the place to report problems with Thunderbird.)
