I recently came to Firefox from IE due to many problems. Firefox is great and I don't have any of the old problems. I do miss one feature from IE that I cant find on Firefox. When looking at a web site, if the display isn't large enough, I was able to enlarge the page with a size selector in the lower right corner. Does Firefox have a similar selector?

Chosen solution

Install this Add-on (I use it): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/

  • Read ALL of the "About this Add-on"; it is easy to use
  • Right-click on icon in Add-on bar changes from "T100%" (text only zoom) to "F100%" (full page zoom) and back again
  • Mouse scroll wheel on icon up zooms in; down zooms out
  • Click the icon to choose a zoom percentage or reset to 100%

new to firefox...but not to computers...so not sure if it's not working or if I'm just totally lost in firefox...I installed the add-on twice...the add-on shows up in the add-on manager...and I have the add-on bar turned on...but I don't see anywhere that I can click to adjust the screen/text size...would appreciate any help...thanks!

nevermind...in the information for the above "solution" it actually suggests this addon instead: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/

and it worked perfectly!!!

For Default FullZoom Level, you must drag the icon in the Customize window to the Add-on Bar. On the DFZL page, use the double arrows at the right end of the images to see that example image.

How to open the Customize window:

  • right-click an empty space on a toolbar (including the Add-on Bar when it is showing), click Customize
  • click Firefox button > Options > Toolbar Layout
  • if using the Menu Bar, click View > Toolbars > Customize
  • keyboard shortcut: ALT+V+T+C

I hope I understand the question well. You want to resize the whole web page because of small font or too big images. Solution: Hold Ctrl and scroll the wheel on your mouse up or down. To get back to 100% zoom use Ctrl+(zero)
