Lost all my important bookmarks when I upgraded to Firefox 4. I want the old Firefox AND my bookmarks back!!!

I just upgraded to Firefox 4 and in the process lost all my important bookmarks. Not acceptable!! How do I get the old version of Firefox back including ALL my old bookmarks?

This can be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
