When I run Firefox the Stumbleupon script fails how do I fix this? And, as I really don't use it, how do I remove Stumbleupon please?
I'm using Windows XP. I recently upgraded to the latest Firefox. 'Stumbleupon' used to load, now a warning notice informs me that the 'script' will not load. can I fix this? As I don't use 'Stumbleupon' anyway, how do I remove the option. I've looked in Control Panel Add/Remove and it's not there. Many thanks.
Chosen solution
- Click "Tools" then "Add-ons"
- When the Add-on screen appears click "Extensions"
- You can remove Stumbleupon here, but don't forget to restart Firefox
Hope this helps

Hello MeatBomb Tom, Your answer was most helpful and fixed the problem. Great, - I didn't think to look under Tools > Add Ons > Extensions. Your advice is much appreciated. Clive.
I have a similar problem, but I *do* use StumbleUpon, and don't want to get rid of it. I installed the new Firefox 4.0 - accidentally the Yahoo version at first. I tried to move the StumbleUpon toolbar to share space with another toolbar, and now 1) the StumbleUpon Toolbar is not visible, even when I check it under "View" and 2) I get and error message on startup, regarding am unresponsive script: "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: chrome://stumbleupon/content/stumbleuponOverlay.js:19798"
I already tried re-installing Firefox 4.0 (non-Yahoo this time) and uninstalling and reinstalling the StumbleUpon extension. Now what?
