suddenly my tooll bar disappeared and I have to press alt each time to see the " File, history, bookmarks" etc. Help!

When I turned on my laptop, the tool bar was not visible. I went to Firefox support link and was told to press the alt button. When I did that the toolbar popped up, however, every time I go to another web site, the tool bar disappears again and I keep havin to press the alt button
