After years of using Mozilla Firefox it no longer opens when clicking on icon. Message keeps saying "try again later". Have tried reinstalling Mozilla - but the same error message happens. What has gone wrong? Everything else is working OK on pc.

Often get automatic updates - could one of these have caused the problem? McAfee security scan shows no problem.

Can you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

Does the message only say "try again later" or is there more info?

Thanks for replying

Standard type error message says: Unable to Connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.bbc.co.uk (my start choice) It then says to Try Again, check network connection (which is OK), or it may be a firewall issue.

Tried clicking on your email links but they produced the above error message.

Will try your Safe Mode suggestion - but it sounds a rather complex procedure.

Have managed to follow instructions to find Safe Mode in Programs. But clicking on Continue brings up the Unable to Connect error message.
