Firefox crashes upon start, runs in safe mode, crash report: avgxpl.dll@0x23a74

When I open Firefox I'm automatically brought to the crash report screen. I can open Firefox in safe mode without any problems as far as I can tell. But would like to be able to use Firefox normally. I found where this avgxpl.dll file is, it's in my antivirus folder. This same file is causing the same problem in IE. Anyway if anyone can help me figure this out it would be greatly appreciated.

Despite it being quite obvious that this isn't a problem with Firefox itself, you can confirm that yourself, since, as you say, Internet Explorer has the same problem. If all fails, I recommend you contact AVG for support, if their antivirus is causing this.

That signature is caused by the AVG Toolbar. Disable all AVG addons from Tools>Addons>Extensions
