On opening Firefox this morning I have no bookmarks, history or back and forward buttons that work. I've tried to Restore the bookmarks, but get a message saying Unable to process backup file. I can't find a Places folder or a profile on my Mac. I'm us

When I launched Firefox (3.5.9) this morning I had no bookmarks and no history, and the back and forward buttons no longer worked. I tried to Restore the bookmarks but I get a message saying 'Unable to process backup file'. I can find no Places folder for Firefox nor can I see a Profile on my Mac. I've tried the various ideas mentioned in the Support folder but none seem to work. I also have Safari on my Mac and this is working fine with all the bookmarks. Can you help?

All worked very well - this is a good solution. The key was finding the Profiles in my Users folder.
