VPN goes to get started and then stops can't turn on

I’d try signing out of the Mozilla Account in Firefox and signing back in. There was a recent Firefox Support case with the same “Get started → sign in → nothing happens” loop that was fixed simply by manually signing out and back in. After signing back in, click the VPN icon again and see whether the Turn on VPN button appears. If it still stops at “Get started,” try Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode and temporarily disable any VPN/proxy extensions. Also make sure you’re talking about Firefox’s built-in VPN, not the separate Mozilla VPN app, since they work differently.
