Why does "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" keep getting set randomly?

Periodically I open Firefox and all my cookies have been deleted. I go into settings to find "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" has been checked (NOT BY ME!) again. This is very annoying as I then have to log into all my websites and go through 2FA. This is annoying to the point that I am posting on this site for help. Next step is find a new browser that doesn't screw up my work-flow randomly for no reason.

Hello,

Try creating a new Firefox profile. Does the problem persist there?

If it doesn't, you can set this new profile as default, move important data from the old one and delete your old profile.
