Highlighting words/portions of received emails?
Running version 102.4.2 (32-bit).
Is there a way or an add-on / extension that would allow me to highlight words or sections of received emails? Not outgoing, don't really care about those; just the already received ones? I work with a lot of Zoom meetings across time zones, and flub meeting times occasionally; I'd like to be able to highlight (or even just bold/italicize) a time or sentence in a received email to make it less likely that I'll get the time wrong. Thanks!

Hello there kharisma. We have read your message. We try to help you.
indeed editing the subject of the text and marking it in a color or leaving it in bold or italics for certain purposes is indeed sending this e-mail to yourself and being able to edit it.
now there seems to be another method to use it . put the received message into your drafts and edit it with your received email address change to your email address basically flip this data and put it back to the original place where the message arrived in the first place.
as follows Editing the draft this way puts your email address instead of the original senders in the From: line. You can add a Reply to: header by clicking on an empty address field and selecting Reply to: from the drop-down menu. Then put the original sender in the Reply to: field.
Click the Save button. Move the message back to the location of the original copy.

Sorry, that feature, although it sounds nice, isn't there. Suggestion: Thunderbird's calendar may help you in not missing those meetings.

Hello ther Khalistan.
another way to use these functions but with the exception of highlight colors is the postbox program that is central to thunderbird and probably developed by it. the function bold italing is possible here.
