"Get All Messages Button" on Mail Toolbar
I loved the simplicity and smooth operation of POP servers. You could have all of your messages in TB Local Folders, Get and Send messages without spending hours going to multiple accounts and manually moving messages to the Local Folders.
Along comes IMAP and O365(requiring a paid Add-on) and every TB user now has to spend time doing what was automatic with POP. This is very sad. Yes, the developers are busy (overloaded). But, any time that is spent by your users, multiplied by the number of users, far exceeds the time that a developer spends (IF the change is small).
The two issues that might save a lot of time are: 1. Replacing the "Get Messages" button with "Get All New Messages" button on the Mail Toolbar. 2. Providing a Filter that would move the Sent messages from IMAP/O365 Servers to the TB Local Sent Folder.
NOTE: O365 calls their Sent folder "Sent Items", so merge provisions might be more extensive.
I tried your "Unified" Folders and (after much frustration with numerous bugs in 91.4.1) switched back. The short answer is that it did not solve the two issues listed above.
I like Thunderbird, contribute to Mozilla and would help in other ways if I had the time. Keep up the good work.

Just spent 14 Hours creating another Profile. I created each of my 4 accounts and saved the profile after each step. After a few days of receiving emails, the system seems to be stable. All of the account setups were just fine before, but I went through at least 20 different account setups because of old and outdated information. There must have been something left over from one of the previous attempts. I was not able to transfer the address book properly. A lot of the names were only in the lists and not in the main address book. Deleting the Lists, export/importing the Address book, then re-creating the Lists worked OK. The same thing happened with my 5 Archive folders and 186 sub-Folders. I have no Idea how many dozens of hours it will take to restore the sub-structure list. Then there are the 2 dozen Message Filters. Oh, well what a way to spent my time.......
Wish there was a way to copy a profile, delete everything having to do with Accounts and leave everything else in place. It would certainly save a lot of time.

For 1., there is an add-on: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/get-all-mail-button-for-tb78/ or the keystroke Shift+F5.
For 2., a filter can be made to run manually on any folder, but filters only run automatically on the Inbox.
Thanx, 1. I will start searching Add-ons more often.
2. Glad to know that I was not missing something. Since you can MANUALLY move files from any folder (even Servers) to TB Local Folders, there should be a way to make this semi-automatic, like whenever you press "Get All Messages" a Filter would move yahoo.Sent --> Local.Sent O365.Sent%20Items --> Local.Sent O365.Trash --> Local.Trash etc.
Wish I knew more about developing Add-Ons.....
I signed into TB this morning and, although messages appeared in to Yahoo.IMAP.Inbox and O365.Inbox, the Message Filters did not MOVE the messages to the TB.Local.Inbox, it did COPY -some- messages. I was able to manually move the messages.
I sent a message from a POP account to both IMAP and O365 accounts, waited and pressed the "Get All Mail" button. The message from the Yahoo.IMAP Server was properly Moved to Tb.Local.Inbox, but the O365.Inbox message remained. However, during the manual move, TB indicated that it had already moved the message.
I suspect that the Message filters are being triggered immediately but, due to delays in retrieving IMAP server messages, the Filters do not find anything to move.
One step forward, two steps back. Problen not Solved.
One other issue that took time to diagnose is the appearance of an Error Message Box "IMAP Server not Responding" that appears randomly after clicking on certain Yahoo.IMAP.Folders.
What are your settings for the Yahoo account? It should be using OAuth2 authentication. Do you have an antivirus set to scan the TB profile folder? If so, add the folder as an exclusion in AV settings, which is the general recommendation. Otherwise, it might affect filter execution.
Is the O365 account a normal POP or IMAP account, or set up as an Exchange account with an add-on such as Owl?

Is there some reason you are not using POP with Yahoo and office365? Other than the Thunderbird account wizard defaulting to IMAP when it starts. All of this discussion is about trying to make IMAP into POP so the obvious question arises. Why not just use POP?
While is it not either of those providers I use POP on my desktop with gmail and IMAP on my phone for the same account. The Thunderbird POP removes mail from the account so obviously it is not running when I am away from the desktop machine. For those occasions IMAP works to keep me updated on new mail which is removed when I fire up Thunderbird again.
I also use POP on two of my email Accounts with no problems. It is my understanding that Yahoo no longer supports POP. As far as Micro$lop, well that is a whole other rant that I will not place on message boards.

I doubt Yahoo would be still showing help for setting POP up if they did not support it. https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN4724.html
They do not support normal password and you are best advised to use oAuth because it just works.
I use POP on hotmail/outlook without issue. So I am sure it works. They are the only online provider I know of that offers you the correct settings for POP and IMAP in your online settings. https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/mail/accounts (if you have an account that will take you to those settings. You will notice an option to enable POP that is off by default.)
I will check back with Yahoo. They were complaining about security and I use Oauth2 for IMAP so if they still allow POP that would be Great. GoDaddy is switching to Exchange. Everything I read indicates that They no long want to support IMAP or POP. I was forced to use the "Owl for Exchange" which performed all of the setup automatically with no option for POP.
OWL is a single protocol add-on that only supports exchanges web services.
Then we move on to godaddy.
I suggest you read this https://au.godaddy.com/help/do-i-have-imap-or-pop-settings-20179 and this particularly as it talks about using POP with office 365 from godaddy. https://au.godaddy.com/help/find-my-microsoft-365-server-settings-9012
I appreciate your input, but I have been with GoDaddy using POP email for over 10 years. As of mid December, GoDaddy announced that they were moving everything to O365 Exchange and they would not be supporting IMAP or POP.
What you found is similar to many Support sites, including Mozilla, where you have to take special care to ensure that you are looking at the latest information. Not showing the Post Dates in the search listing and no provision to sort by date caused me no end of grief over the past 3 weeks.
However, I thank you for pointing out that Yahoo should still support POP if they are still supporting IMAP. That should help a lot.
I am going to mark this discussion as resolved since it is no longer relevant to the original title of the Post.
