"Thunderbird is already running but not responding. The old Thunderbird process must be closed to open a new window" I have been unable to find any community answers to doing just that. I have exhausted looking them over. Please help or after using Thunderbird for over a decade I must look for new software. sadler@albq.com. Thanks

Have you tried deleting the profile lock? Help/Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, delete parent.lock.
