How do I force Thunderbird to always start offline please?

I am using version 78 but the only information that I can find on line is at https://support.mozilla.org/gl/questions/1139753 and appears to refer to version 24 and to be about five years old. It looks like the various menus have changed a bit since then. :-)

Any help will be much appreciated.

In the Options/General/Network & Disk Space section, click the Offline... button to show the attached picture.
