Find Bar is not working

I get the find bar, either by control F or from the three bar menu. However, the search for a word in a web page does not work, even when I know/can see that a word is in the text. I have tried restoring settings and restarted. All the options, highlight All, Match case etc are unchecked. Help! I use this feature A LOT!
